Ömer started Haskell around 2012 when he was an undergraduate student. Since then he wrote Haskell for various startups and contributed to GHC and GHCJS. He graduated with masters from Indiana University in 2016, where he studied supercompilation, partial evaluation, and some other program optimization techniques.
Other than Haskell and compilers, his interests include networking and distributed systems, various PL topics such as algebraic effect systems and multi-stage programming.
