Based inMarseille, France

Alp has been using Haskell since 2008 for all kinds of problems, from numerical computing to web development, as a cure to several years toying around with template metaprogramming in C++. After studying mathematics in university, Alp decided to take a Haskell programmer job and has been using Haskell professionally since 2014, (co-)authoring several open-source libraries along the way (among which servant) in order to build distributed computing platforms, recommendation engines, web applications and more.

He likes spending some of his free time exploring models, techniques and DSLs for compiling numerical computations efficiently or distributing computations, as he believes that Haskell eventually ought to become a first class citizen in these domains.
